Edita Group plc has divested the entire share capital of its subsidiary Edilex Lakitieto Oy to Alma Media Corporation. The transaction will bring a new, comprehensive provider of legal content services to Finland.
As a result of the transaction, Edilex Lakitieto Oy will become part of the Alma Marketplaces segment’s Legal Insights unit, whose service offering consists of digital legal information services. The product and service offerings of the parties’ complement each other well. Together, they can offer the most comprehensive suite of legal content services in Finland.
Edilex Lakitieto’s most renowned products are Edilex, a legal information service for professionals, and Finlex, a public and free-of-charge legal information service owned by the Ministry of Justice. In addition to online services, the product range includes trainings, legal literature as well as law books and collections.

The pro forma net revenue of Edilex Lakitieto Oy for the financial period 1 January 2024–31 December 2024 was approximately EUR 8 million. As a result of the transaction, the entire personnel of Edilex Lakitieto Oy, in total 51 people, will transfer to Alma Media. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
